Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

L/S of a flat ‘flying saucer’ zooming through the air . The saucer lands on the ground – not very impressive. We are told that 14-year-old Jeremy Coles made ‘The Flying Plate’ himself.

Jeremy and another boy refuel the ‘plate’, adjust it and start it up by turning the propellor. The craft starts off, controlled by Jeremy who directs it with two long wires, like a kite, as it flies around in circles.
